Digital transport network

In cooperation with DLR (Institute for Transport Systems Engineering) DMAG intends to add a digital traffic level to the exhibition grounds.

The result is an integrated demonstration platform on which the real traffic routes are mapped on a highly accurate map and supplemented by virtual infrastructure elements (road markings, pedestrian crossings, signalling systems, etc.).

A traffic simulation can be used to create virtual road users and traffic situations in real time. For the user of the module there are highly flexible test possibilities.

The test vehicles thus move in a freely configurable virtual environment. For humans, they become visible via Augmented Reality (AR) technology (AR glasses or head up display).

Autonomes Fahren

The vision of autonomous driving in public spaces is one of the greatest challenges facing the automotive industry, telecommunications service providers and ministries, authorities and testing organizations.

Autonomous shuttle

At the Smart Venue, so-called robot taxis in the form of autonomous visitor shuttles are to be deployed as quickly as possible so that people can gain their first practical experience with the new technologies in a protected environment and thus overcome reservations.

Intelligent parking space management, intermodal traffic use have to be implemented with 5G, partly real time requirements, partly it will be important to process data streams without interruption and with increasing volume, partly an area-wide accessibility becomes necessary.
